high5casinoMANILA, Philippines — A second-time taker of the Bar examinations on Friday said that the happiness she felt after passing this year’s exam was due to the lessons she learned from her first attempt.
Jamimah Disomangcop, who hailed from Mindanao State University, expressed that she was “very happy” and proud that she finally achieved her dream of becoming a lawyer, adding her first Bar experience was a “lesson learned.”

Article continues after this advertisement“It’s a lesson and it humbles us kasi minsan sa first take natin, ang angas natin… So ito, extra ‘yung happiness for this,” she said.

Disomangcop also shared that having focus helped her get through the recent examinations.
Article continues after this advertisement“Focus on one material only. ‘Wag po tayong mag-hoard. ‘Yung hoarding na sinasabi, hoarding nang hoarding ng materials pero ‘di naman binabasa. ‘Yan ‘yung learning sa first take,” she said.
(Focus on one material only. Don’t hoard. Hoarding materials without actually reading them — that’s my learning from my first take.)
The 30-year-old newly minted lawyer said she pursued her dreams for her family and to be part of the workforce.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court (SC) Associate Justice Mario Lopez, the 2024 Bar exams chairperson, told the over 6,000 examinees who failed the 2024 Bar exams that “failure is a temporary detour, not a fatal defeat.”

Lopez said 3,962 out of 10,490 exam takers passed the Bar examinations. This year’s passing rate of 37.84 percent is higher than last year’s 36.77 percent.
